The decision is smaller than the relationship.
“Can I trust this person?” is a large question. “What do I need to know before I send this $650?” is a question you can work with today.
Write down the amount, purpose and deadline. Then put the explanation in a separate column from the facts you have confirmed. What is still missing? Which answer would actually change your next step?
A pause is not a punishment. You can say: “I want to understand the full request before I commit. Let’s talk tomorrow about the breakdown and the deadline.”
